Autumn in the South

Like the leaves after the kids were finished jumping in them, this posting is a little bit scattered.  My commentary somehow ended up in the middle.  I'll figure this blog out eventually!!!

Autumn is my favorite time of year!  The cool, crisp days and the beautiful colors make it one of the reasons I have never left the South.  Despite the continued drought, I thought this Fall was one of the most colorful in recent memory.  With that being said, what could be more fun than raking up all of the leaves and then jumping into the pile!  We surveyed the yard, and with rakes in hand, we went to work.   It was a good time had by all!

Where's Will!?

The Playground

While Jen was here, we took the kids to one of our favorite playgrounds.  The kids had fun of course and the weather could not have been more perfect.

Auntie Jenny's here!

The first week of November my sister and my nephews came for a visit.  We have not seen them since they moved to FLA this summer.  My mom also stayed for the week which was great!  The kids all had a great time together and it was a crazy, fun, and memorable week.  We can't wait to go see Auntie Jenny at her house!

Thanks, mom, for being such a sentimental pack rat.  If you were a child in the late 70's/early 80's you probably had on of these.  This is my Kick-n-go from when I was a kid.  Tyler had a great time riding it.  Who needs a Wii...

Let her eat cake!

Susan spent the weekend singing "Happy Birthday Susan" and blew out the 2 candles on her cake all by herself.  She was so proud and excited.

What fork and plate?

November 1-2, 2008 Susan's 2nd Birthday

On November 1, Susan turned 2.  We celebrated the occasion on Sunday with the grandest of parties- a Princess party!

Halloween

Halloween this year was a lot of fun!  Both kids were really excited to go trick-or-treating.  Will choose the costumes-he was Peter Pan and Susan was Tinkerbell.  I am sure that it will be the one and only year that Susan allows him to have a say in what she dresses up as.  Susan was all about the candy.  She could not get to the next house fast enough!

Here are Will and Susan prior to going trick-or-treating.
Will and all the kids in his class dressed up for school Friday and had a Halloween party.  They had a great time decorating pumpkins, playing games, and eating all of the yummy treats the mom's brought!
