Valentine's Day!

On Friday, Feb. 12, both the kids had Valentine's Day parties at their schools. I was one of the party mom's for Susan's class, so I wasn't able to be there for all of Will's class party. Both kids exchanged Valentine's with their classmates and participated in fun activities.

In Susan's class, each of the kids got to decorate their own Valentine's cake.

Susan and I made it to the very end of Will's party. Will was enjoying his Valentine's cake.

After school, we headed to the local Chic Fil A with a few of the kids from Will's class. While we were there, the kids all got to meet the Chic Fil A Cow!

Will's 5th Birthday Party

For Will's 5th birthday, he wanted a dinosaur themed party. The kids dug for dino fossils in the sandbox and made dino sand art. The fun really started when the Reptile Guys arrived with animals in tow. Despite a rainy day and power outage, all the kids had a great time!

No party is complete without a pinata!

As the birthday boy, Will was chosen to assist the Reptile Guys with all of the animals. He was so excited!

The biggest hit of the party was Mello Yello- a 9ft yellow python!

Snow Jam 2010

The snow starting falling Friday around 1 pm and continued into the night. Will and I went out and played in the snow and built a snowman. Susan was so tired after we got home from school that she passed out on the couch for a nap.

We woke up Saturday morning to a white, winter morning with the sun rising over the trees. The kids were both ready to go out at 7 am but I wasn't too eager- it was 24 degrees outside. Later, I went out and took these pictures. As I write this, the kids are getting dressed and we are going to head outside for some fun! Below is a picture from our front yard looking out at Tom's rental house.
